Celtic Expects Tough Champions League Draw in New Format.

If Celtic win the league title this season, they will automatically qualify for the Champions League in its new format, with more money to play for.

According to Football Rankings estimates posted on X (previously Twitter), Celtic are likely to finish in third position. This setup would test them against powerful opponents from each of the remaining three pots.

In the revamped structure, unlike previous years, the Scottish champions will face two teams from their own pot—two matchups against clubs from pot three, which includes renowned teams like Feyenoord, Sporting CP, PSV, Dinamo Zagreb, Lille, Fenerbahce, Galatasaray, and Bodo/Glimt.

The Breakdown of Champions League Pots

Pot One: Mainly dominated by elite European teams, such as Barcelona, Manchester City, RB Leipzig, Real Madrid, PSG, Liverpool, Inter Milan, and Bayern Munich.
Pot Two: Contains competitive teams like AC Milan, Shakhtar Donetsk, Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus, Benfica, Atalanta, Arsenal, Club Brugge, and Atletico Madrid.
Pot Four: With teams like AS Monaco, Sparta Prague, Aston Villa, Girona, Bologna, and VFB Stuttgart, this pot might present the Scottish champions with a little more favorable game.
