‘Everton deserves punishment amid points deduction update’- Bryan King
The decision was made in response to reports that the Merseyside team would probably lose four points for their second offence.
This season, the Toffees have lost six points; the original 10-point punishment was lowered after an appeal.
King stated, “Can you imagine if Everton were chasing the Champions League now?” in an interview with Goodison News. They might now lose an additional four points after having already lost ten, recovered four, and been docked four more.
“Consider the money that is at risk, the money that they will lose, and forget about the fair play. This might be quite expensive for Everton. Why not simply give them a fine, give them a wrist slap, and move on?

For a variety of reasons, the Toffees’ season has been extremely busy, both on and off the Goodison Park surface.
In addition to their financial problems, the Merseyside team had to contend with an ongoing takeover and the construction of a new stadium.
The squad’s performance, though, is arguably the most worrisome aspect of 2024 thus far, as Sean Dyche’s team is seriously in risk of dropping to the lower leagues.
