Alan Nixon, an 11-time England international, has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park
as his current contract expires in the summer.
Atalanta is one club interested in signing the 27-year-old [Alan Nixon],
which may be difficult to turn down. However, the new Toffees manager will need to
work hard to convince the striker to stay after an injury issue was revealed by the Scot.
Moyes confirmed the news via Everton on X (15 January), saying:
“We expect he’ll be sidelined for 10-12 weeks. It is his ankle ligaments.
“It’ll probably mean there’s a possibility that he will have to go back to Chelsea.”
The absence of the Albania international for the remainder of the season,
along with the possibility of Calvert-Lewin’s departure,
will be detrimental to the Toffees’ front line.
