Every SWPL update in one location

The uncommon error by the Rangers

adds a little additional zing to the Old

Firm rivalry next weekend. All the latest

SWPL news in one place. The Ibrox

dropped points for the first time in 17

games when they were unable to

overcome Thistle’s resolute defense, but

they are still undefeated in the league

this year.

Rosie Slater’s goal for the Jags was

disallowed in the first half due to offside,

but Ava Easdon made a great save to

keep Rangers out.

A magnificent strike from Jorian Baucom

was scant comfort for Hibs as Celtic

surged to victory at Meadowbank.

Before Baucom took advantage of some

careless play to break through and send

the ball in off the crossbar, Natasha Flint

gave the visitors the lead.

Celtic’s lead was regained by Caitlin

Hayes looping a header, and Flint made

it three.

The Angus side led thanks to a bullet

header from Tammy-Lee Harkin, but the

reigning champions took the lead with to

headers from Kenzie Weir and Carlee

Giammona. Mairead Fulton finished the

scoring after Fiona Brown hit a double.

At Oriam, Hearts easily defeated

Aberdeen. By the half, the hosts were

ahead two goals thanks to Lizzie Waldie

and Jenna Penman. Erin Rennie and

Danni Findlay subsequently added

further points to the board.

In the Lanarkshire derby, Hamilton

emerged victorious after goals from Jo

Giard and Chloe Muir put the home team

ahead before Laura Berry’s response.

Against Dundee United, who had no

management, Spartans were at their

most merciless. In addition to Ronaigh

Douglas, Alana Marshall, Robyn

McCafferty, and Mya Bates hitting

singles, Hannah Jordan scored a double.
