Leicester City stance on Enzo Maresca future emerges

Enzo Maresca – Leicester City (1)

Leicester City are sure that manager Enzo Maresca will remain with the club next season.

Football Insider reports that the Foxes intend to offer the 44-year-old a new deal.

Maresca was appointed Leicester manager last summer, succeeding Dean Smith in the dugout at The King Power Stadium.

The Italian left his position as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City to take on his first senior managerial position in English football.

He joined Leicester after the club was relegated from the Premier League to the Championship.

However, Maresca has witnessed a swift turnaround at the club, and Leicester’s 3-0 victory over Preston North End at Deepdale on Monday night sealed their instant return to the top flight of English football as Championship title winners.

The Foxes manager has already attracted attention from other sources. According to recent sources, La Liga side Sevilla is interested in his services.

Maresca has a strong connection to the Spanish club, having spent four years playing for them.

Even so, it appears Leicester are relaxed when it comes to the future of their manager, and they aim to take further steps to secure his position.
