OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED : Rangers vs S.t Mirren game has been postponed as Phillipe Clement Blasts SFA

This Saturday, St Mirren will host Rangers to begin the second phase of the Scottish Premiership.

While the hosts continue to push for a spot in Europe, the Gers aim to maintain as much pressure on Celtic at the top of the table as they can.

Despite being 32 points behind their rivals on Sunday, St Mirren will be full of confidence after securing their spot in the top half of the Scottish Premiership.

The Buddies don’t care who wins the title fight. They only behind Kilmarnock by eight points, so they still have a chance to guarantee European football with the games left to play.

Given that they have lost three of their last four games and are currently on a losing streak, St. Mirren is entering the game with a bad record.

The Buddies will be eager to get revenge for their three losses to Rangers thus far in this campaign.

Although Dundee is only two points behind them,

Steve Robinson will probably keep an eye on them in order to prevent the gap in the table from growing ahead of them.

In the eyes of the guests, the race for the title is still very much alive.

They will be confident in narrowing the three-point deficit they now have over Celtic.

Even though the Old Firm rivals have been trading back and forth throughout the season,

there is now very little margin for mistake because of the impending run-in.

Rangers know that at this point in the season, mistakes are unaffordable.

They must be prepared to take advantage of any mistakes that the Hoops might make, which will begin this coming Saturday.

With the greatest defensive record in the division,

the Gers hope to maintain their strength and difficulty in breaking down this weekend.

St Mirren’s Ryan Strain injury issue persists, but Hyeokkyu Kwon,

who was out from their previous game because of a loan agreement, might make a return for the Buddies.

In their most recent game, Mark O’Hara did make a comeback to the midfield,

and the captain of the Buddies will be looking to hold onto that spot.

In the Scottish FA Cup, Leon Balogun made a starting debut for Rangers for the first time since February.

However, it is unclear if he will remain in the lineup.

Oscar Cortes, Ryan Jack, Mohamed Diomande, and Danilo are among the injured players the Gers are now dealing with. Ridvan Yilmaz and Danilo are also a concern.

Hemming; Fraser, Gogic, Dunne; Brown, O’Hara, Boyd-Munce, Tanser; Strain, Mandron, Kiltie are possible starting positions for St. Mirren.
