BREAKING NEWS: Rangers now face battle with Roma to sign ‘phenomenal’ winger who has first time scoring 2 goals.

Prior to the summer transfer window, Rangers will now have to contend with Roma for the services of Boca Juniors star Luca Langoni.

The goal of the Gers’ move before the transfer deadline was to bring in another

winger to try and provide some movement out wide.

Rangers had needed another natural wide player before the Senegal star’s injury, so their problems were made worse.

Finally, Rangers moved quickly to sign Oscar Cortes, a talented Colombian, on loan from

Lens with the intention of making the deal permanent.

Rangers may have other wingers on their radar, but Cortes appears to be an interesting potential and has started life at Ibrox well.

Rangers face Roma battle for Luca Langoni

Reports in January suggested that Rangers had made an approach to sign Boca Juniors talent Luca Langoni.

It was suggested that Fulham, Nice and Sevilla were all interested in signing Langoni too, but the January window ended without a deal.

Langoni is back in the news now though as Boca Noticias claim that Roma have now joined the race.

It’s claims that Boca will be open to a sale if Roma formalise their interest,

believing that he can bring in valuable funds.

Although facing Roma seems intimidating, Rangers could be able to provide a more reliable path to first-team participation if Langoni is still a top goal for the summer.

Since Sima is just on loan, Rangers will continue to keep an eye on wide players,

while Langoni primarily plays as a right winger.

The 22-year-old has demonstrated genuine skill and scored 10 goals in 50 games for Boca.

With comparisons to Manchester City star Julian Alvarez and praise for being “phenomenal,” Langoni appears to have a bright future.

Roma’s interest now poses a serious obstacle to Rangers’ hopes of bringing him to Ibrox and

forming a South American double-act with Cortes on the flanks.
