Pundit makes “incredible” Rangers claim on “very good” player

“Celtic should be worried”, he says.

According to analyst Frank McAvennie, one Rangers player has the potential to be “incredible” at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership title fight.

Rangers title bid and transfer updates
The Gers are in for a tremendously interesting few months,

as they face Celtic in a possibly nerve-racking title race.

Philippe Clement’s side is three points behind their bitter rivals with a game in hand,

underscoring the intense competition at the top of the league.

Rangers’ next game is against Ross County next Wednesday evening,

and they will know that a win by more than two goals will propel them to the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Some new recruits arrived during the January transfer window to help Clement’s team’s title ambitions,

with Fabio Silva’s loan move from Wolves being perhaps the most interesting piece of business the club undertook.

Oscar Cortes was another temporary signing,

with the teenage winger joining from Lens until the end of the season in the hopes of impressing enough to secure a permanent contract this summer.

Fabio Silva praised by Frank McAvennie
Speaking to Football Insider, McAvennie praised Silva as a signing for Rangers,

saying that “Celtic should be worried” about his impact between now and the end of the season.

“Clement brought him in, and he’s been very good.

” He wasn’t Wolves’ first pick, but he’s come up here and settled in after a couple of games.

But all of a sudden, he’s playing in a system that he likes and enjoys.

“Clement has got them playing a solid system with the players they had and the new ones they’ve brought in;

Celtic should be concerned. Silva might be amazing for them.

“Silva is a player who has yet to fulfill his full potential,

despite arriving at Wolves as a teenage signing with such a high peak,

and he is still only 21 years old. Things appeared to be stagnate for him at Molineux,

but the expectation is that he will be rejuvenated as a Rangers player, giving true attacking weaponry in the title chase.

The Portuguese has now scored one league goal in two starts,

and Clement recently stated that the striker is “getting better and better” as he adjusts to life at Ibrox.

Silva, with his reputation as a talented young player,

might make the difference in the title chase. If he fails to spark, the Gers may come up.
