Chris Sutton has waxed poetic about Rangers and Philippe Clement while mocking Celtic’s recent showings.

With Gers behind their opponents by just three points, the former Hoops striker thinks Clement is leading the team in the right way.

Celtic, on the other hand, have been erratic and are only ahead on the table as they have played a game more than Rangers.

On February 8, Sutton stated to Sky Sports, “There has been a shift in mentality.” It is visible to you. The belief has

developed and is becoming stronger and stronger the longer Clement has been the club’s manager.

Since Clement joined the Rangers, there has been a clear shift in momentum. He is assembling a group of people

who are gaining faith each week.

This season, Celtic has shown signs of inconsistency. That has been their main issue.

Rangers and Clement flying high

Witnessing Sutton, a former Celtic striker, voice accolades for the Gers and their manager Clement, is undoubtedly a

change in the wind.

However, it’s evidence of the indisputable progress the side has made under Clement’s direction.

Their comeback, which has left them only three points behind their competitors, stands in stark contrast to Celtic’s

inconsistent play, which is a far cry from their impressive performances from earlier in the season.

The choice to start Clement in place of Michael Beale seems to have ignited Rangers’ revolution, giving the team

tremendous confidence and drive.

Even though Sutton supports the Hoops, he can’t ignore the obvious change

in the chemistry between the Glasgow rivals.

Sutton believes that admitting their supremacy while criticizing Celtic’s inconsistency highlights the present state of

the Scottish Premiership title race: the Hoops need stability to regain their previous dominance, while the Gers are on the rise.
