Mohamed Diomande, the newest member of the Rangers, feels that Ibrox is the ideal location for him to develop his

skills because he still has a lot of growth left in him considering his age.

The young player from Danish team Nordsjaelland was signed by the Gers with a few days left in the January

transfer window; he will initially be on loan until the end of the season.

While the 22-year-old gets accustomed to life in Glasgow, still getting to know his new team-mates, he took time to

give an insight into the thought process that had led to him moving to Scotland in the first place.

Rangers are renowned for developing young players, and Diomande maintains that he became more and more

convinced that he should be a member of the team after talking with manager Philippe Clement and learning about

the 49-year-old’s desire to have him in his ranks.

“Given that I am still only 22 years old, I believe I have a lot of growing to do,” Diomande stated in a statement provided to his club’s official website.

“I believe my stay in Ghana and Denmark have given me a wealth of expertise.

There are a lot of talented young players here, so I felt it was the appropriate place to be when I chatted with the

manager and he explained why he wanted me.

“It’s a great environment for me to continue my career and hopefully win a lot of trophies with the team because

there are a lot of experienced players there as well.”

At the conclusion of Diomande’s loan term, Rangers are required to purchase him for an unknown sum.
