BREAKING NEWS : Rangers have agreed to sale £25,000 per week player if valuation is met
Barry Ferguson has admitted that Rangers may consider selling Jack Butland
this summer if a club matches their valuation of the goalkeeper.
Butland joined Rangers on a free transfer last summer, and he has been a revelation in goal for the Glasgow giants this season.
He has been the unquestioned number one between the sticks,
and there is speculation that he will be included in England’s squad for the European Championship next summer.
Rangers turned down offers from Nottingham Forest for Butland during the winter transfer window,
insisting that they wanted to keep him.
However, Ferguson believes that the circumstances may change in the summer,
and Rangers might cash in on the goalie if a club decides to match their asking price for him.
He highlighted that if the Rangers decide to sell Butland, they must have a competent alternative in place.
The former Rangers captain stated on the Go Radio Football Show that “every player has a price on their head,
and Rangers will have a price on Jack’s head.”
“And if they come and reach that valuation, I believe the Rangers will look to do business.
“But the key thing is that they need to bring somebody in who is of the same quality to replace him.”
Butland has rejuvenated his career in Scotland, and it remains to be seen whether he wants to return to England in the summer.
