Rangers given transfer boost as agent makes summer Fabio Silva claim

Rangers went in a different direction with recruitment in January, with Fabio Silva the first of three young, dynamic and exciting signings.

Gers manager Philippe Clement would have like to sign the 21-year-old forward on a permanent basis,

but he had to make do with adding him to his squad temporarily.

After scoring his first Rangers goal at Ibrox, Fabio Silva is demonstrating his potential,

with his father and agent, Jorge, explaining why a longer stay is not out of the question,

according to Mail Sport.

Rangers could get Fabio Silva back next season.
With Cyriel Dessers and Danilo on the books for the foreseeable future,

it is unlikely that another big-money striker will be acquired this summer.

However, there will be room for another in the summer,

as Kemar Roofe’s contract expires in a few months.

Quality comes at a cost, therefore another loan move for Silva may not be a bad idea if he performs well,

with his father stating that this, or a permanent move, may be an option:

“We have a long deal with Wolves, but Fabio needs to settle someplace.

Is it possible that Fabio will continue at Rangers next season if he performs well,

even on loan? I believe so, certainly. Listen, in four months, a lot may happen.

“But I hope Rangers win the championship this season, which would be fantastic for both the club and Fabio.

“Fabio has a strong desire to play in the Champions League.”

He is currently in need of professional continuity. If the Rangers are pleased with him,

and the final say will undoubtedly go to the Wolves, then why not?”

When the Rangers signed Fabio Silva, it was a clear statement of intent.

After all, it’s not often players with £35m price tags are seen at Dumbarton.

What Silva has shown is a high level of technical ability that could prove useful as he gets up to speed.

He has to prove that his goal against Livingston isn’t a one off and follow it up in big games now.

Abdallah Sima has become a fans’ favourite and if Silva can repeat the Senegal international’s goal scoring return from the first half of the season, the calls to take up his dad’s offer might grow that little bit louder.
