Honors continue to roll in for Dallas Cowboys, Dak Prescott. He is AP MVP, OPOY finalist

The awards keep coming in for quarterback Dak Prescott and a few other players whose stellar regular seasons belied

their lackluster performance in the Dallas Cowboys’ season-ending playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers,

as the dust settles on yet another disappointing season for the team.

After leading the NFL with 36 touchdown passes in a season, Prescott was named as one of the five contenders for the Associated Press NFL MVP

Award and the Offensive Player of the Year Award.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is the favorite to win NFL MVP.

The other finalists include Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey and quarterback Brock Purdy.

Alongside Prescott as a finalist for Offensive Player of the Year is Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb.

With 135 catches for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns, Lamb led the NFL. He became the Cowboys’ all-time leader in catches and yards.

Jackson, McCaffrey, and Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill are the other contenders.

DaRon Bland, a cornerback, and Micah Parsons, an edge rusher, were two of the Cowboys’ five nominees for

Defensive Player of the Year, meaning they were paired together.

After finishing second in DPOY the previous two seasons, Parsons is now a finalist for the third time in as many seasons since

entering the NFL in 2021. Edge rusher T.J.

Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers, defensive end Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns, and defensive end Maxx Crosby of the

Los Angeles Raiders are the other finalists.

Award winners will be announced at the NFL Honors presented the on Feb. 8 at the Resorts World in Las Vegas.
