News Report:Manchester United are looking for a £120 million signing from Everton.

Man Utd duo signed for £120 million, set to quit club to fund £75 million move for new recruit.

Jarrad Branthwaite has been linked with a big-money move to Old Trafford as Erik ten Hag wants to improve the

defense, but two high-earners could leave in the summer to pay the transaction.

Manchester United are interested in signing Everton centre defender Jarrad Branthwaite this summer, and they may sell Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane to bankroll the transfer.

Branthwaite, who is expected to fetch £75 million, has been one of the Premier League’s breakout stars this season

despite a turbulent spell at Goodison Park, and he has many admirers. United is among them, and head coach Erik

ten Hag is eager to strengthen his back line.

And, with French defender Varane due to leave at the end of the season and Maguire’s future at Old Trafford

uncertain, Branthwaite is believed to top their wishlist.

Although Ten Hag’s future is uncertain, after a dismal second season in command, United will pursue a bid for

Branthwaite, even if he is removed. Against the backdrop of stiffer financial fair play laws, Ratcliffe is eager to invest

in younger, home-grown players who can provide United with the best return on investment.

Varane, who joined United for £40 million from Real Madrid in the summer of 2021, has had a rough season and

was previously ranked behind Jonny Evans, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, and Maguire in the pecking order.

Despite his solid performance in recent weeks, the 30-year-old is anticipated to be released in the summer, with one

year remaining on his contract.

Maguire’s future, on the other hand, remains unclear. Despite being stripped of the captaincy last summer, he has

played more than anticipated, despite being close to joining West Ham United in August.

The England international, who signed for £80 million from Leicester City in the summer of 2019, has been out

injured since late February but might return for Sunday’s FA Cup match against Liverpool. His contract also lasts

until the conclusion of next season.
