Breaking news: Patrick Mahomes at the verge of losing contract deal with kansas city chiefs due to brothers predicament

Jackson Mahomes has averted a possible jail sentence in his 2023 violence case, in which he was accused of

punching a waitress and sexually abusing the owner of a Kansas City restaurant.

Jackson Mahomes, the brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, has avoided a possible jail

sentence in a 2023 battery charge.

The 23-year-old was sentenced to six months of unsupervised probation on March 7 ,after pleading no contest to one

count of misdemeanor violence, according to Johnson County court records acquired by E! News. The prosecution

had already dismissed three felony counts of aggravated sexual battery, according to court documents.

He was initially charged with misdemeanor battery for allegedly assaulting a waiter, whose identity was not made

public, but three felony counts of aggravated sexual battery were issued after he was accused of grabbing the venue’s

owner, Aspen Vaughn, by the neck and kissing her against her will inside an office, according to the Kansas City Star.

In March, both accusers made their charges public during newspaper interviews.

Prosecutors withdrew Jackson’s sexual assault allegations in January following unsuccessful attempts to serve the

accuser with court papers ordering her to testify, according to the Kansas City Star.

Jackson attended his March 7 hearing via video conference. By pleading no contest to the lesser battery charge, he

accepted the court’s decision without admitting guilt, according to the site. According to court records, Judge

Thomas Sutherland ordered him to the custody of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department to assess whether he is

eligible for work release.
