NBA All-Star Reveals Reason For Surprising G-League Move
Isaiah Thomas is the only active basketball player who is more motivated than everybody else to make a return to the NBA. He’s
tweeted often about wanting to play in the league. The two-time NBA All-Star is currently choosing the most difficult path by entering
the G League.
Isaiah Thomas inked a contract this week with the Salt Lake City Stars,
the Utah Jazz’s G League club. Against the Texas Legends, he
scored a game-high 32 points in his debut. After the victory, he appeared as a guest on FanDuel TV’s Run It Back morning program,
where he explained why he would be open to returning to the league via the G League.
“Ultimately I’m just fighting for an opportunity,” stated Thomas. “I’m just trying to show teams that I’m still able to produce on the
court, but I’m also most importantly, I’m able to teach these young guys.”
Even though Isaiah Thomas has experienced a good number of NBA comebacks, not many people are as deserving of one as he is.
Never will it be forgotten how he helped the Boston Celtics win the postseason despite suffering a hip injury and losing his sister, only
to be moved the next offseason. One of the greatest NBA horror stories about loyalty, his narrative hasn’t yet led to the happy
conclusion that so many of his peers hope it would.Even though Isaiah Thomas has made more NBA comebacks than anybody, he still
has a greater claim to the title. Never forget how, after suffering a hip injury and losing his sister to death, he led the Boston Celtics to
the playoffs before being moved the next offseason. His tale is among the greatest NBA horror stories involving loyalty, and it still
hasn’t resulted in the joyful ending that so many of his peers had hoped for.
