NBA Legend Blasts Jayson Tatum After Game vs Nuggets
Last night, the Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets squared off in what might potentially be an NBA Finals rematch, but sadly for
Jayson Tatum, it wasn’t one of his greatest games.
Tatum finished with a meager 15 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, and 5/13 from the field against the Nuggets. For the Celtics, Jaylen
Brown carried most of the offensive load, scoring 41 points on 16/29 shooting with 14 rebounds.
During an episode of Inside the NBA, NBA veteran Charles Barkley took a harsh shot at Tatum following the game.
“You can’t call yourself the best player in the league if they don’t show up,”
Barkley stated. “You can have off nights, but if you say ‘I’m
the best player in the world’, you’ve gotta prove it.”Jayson Tatum declared himself the best player in the NBA just two weeks ago. He
also appears completely dominant most of the time. But if anything was evident on Thursday night, it’s that Nikola Jokic is on a
different level than the rest of the group. Compared to nearly everyone else in the NBA, Nikola Jokic has a considerably lower
frequency of poor performances. Furthermore, Jokic performs significantly better at his best than anyone else, especially when the
lights are shining brightest. This season, the Denver Nuggets hold a 2-0 series record against the Boston Celtics, and the two teams’
next meeting isn’t expected to occur until the NBA Finals.
