Patrick Mahomes’ brother Jackson sentenced after pleading guilty.

Jackson, the brother of Patrick Mahomes,

was sentenced to probation after admitting guilt to attacking a lady in a Kansas restaurant; the sexual battery charges were later withdrawn.

The younger brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who won the Super Bowl,

admitted guilt to beating a woman at a restaurant in Kansas and was given a six-month probationary period.

Jackson Mahomes, 23, entered a guilty plea to one misdemeanor battery count at his video conference sentencing hearing on Thursday.

He was placed into the custody of the Johnson County Sheriff’s office after receiving his sentence,

and they will decide if he qualifies for work release.

The sentencing took place more than two months after prosecutors dropped three felonies for aggravated sexual battery.

The charges stemmed from claims that in February 2023,

Mahomes forcibly grabbed a woman by the neck and kissed her inside an Overland Park, Kansas, restaurant.

According to a court document,

the woman’s lack of cooperation led to the dropping of those more serious allegations.

Investigators alleged that Mahomes assaulted a waiter who attempted to enter a room where he and the woman were,

in response to the remaining misdemeanor battery accusation.

Once the accuser—the restaurant owner—refused to appear in court,

prosecutors withdrew the criminal charges.

Following the charges,

the woman claimed to have received death threats, harassment,

and vandalism at her eatery.

In August, she shuttered the eatery.

Mahomes is not the Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ only family member to have been afoul of the law recently.

On February 3, Patrick Mahomes Sr.,

a former Major League Baseball pitcher and the father of an NFL player,

was taken into custody in Texas on suspicion of driving under the influence.

A week later, in February,

Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to a 25-22 victory over the San Francisco 49ers,

earning him his third Super Bowl title ring.
