Report: ‘Big Shakeup Coming’ for Broncos’ Starting WRs
There have been some rumblings about possible cutbacks and cap casualties since the NFL free agency period begins next week.
Among the teams that require roster and financial reorganization are the Denver Broncos, who are presently ranked fifth in the league
in terms of effective cap space (-$20 million).
As a result, a few Broncos players stand out on the roster and may eventually lose their spot in order for Denver to save some money.
According to recent events, those modifications might begin on the attacking end of the field.
The Broncos may finally choose to part ways with wide outs Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy this offseason, per sources from
uStadium. Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton may be leaving Denver this summer, according to a number of sources. More likely to be
traded is Jeudy.
Following Denver’s final decision to sever ties with quarterback Russell Wilson, there have been whispers. In order to improve their
financial records, the Broncos may now need to make some cost-cutting measures, which may begin at wide receiver. Releasing Sutton
this summer may save the team $13.5 million in cap space. Jeudy’s trade could save the team an additional $12.9 million.During the
trade deadline this past year, Jeudy’s name was mentioned a few times in trade rumors. If Denver is genuinely interested in parting
with their 2020 first-round selection, those discussions may resurface. He participated in 16 games the previous season and recorded
54 receptions, 758 receiving yards, and two touchdowns.
