Matt O’Riley Recognised Alongside Lionel Messi and Phil Foden For Celtic Performance
Matt O’Riley, a midfielder for Celtic, has been selected for the most recent FC24 Team of the Week—formerly known as FIFA.
The 23-year-old was selected as one of the eighteen players from across the globe who stood out in the last seven days. He probably received so much praise because of his performance against Dundee at home last Wednesday, where he assisted two goals and scored one.
Within the first 22 minutes, O’Riley set up Cameron Carter-Vickers to begin the scoring and then made it 3-0 for Celtic with a fantastic diving header. He then made Daizen Maeda pay for the fourth basket for the Hoops.
The Danish international, who was selected in an FC24 starting lineup that included players like Lionel Messi, Phil Foden, and Victor Osimhen, put on a spectacular performance.

Not just in the match against Dundee, but throughout 2023–2024, the 23-year-old has been superior. It was expected that Atletico Madrid would be interested in O’Riley in January.
Despite his decline in form following the aforementioned reports, he performed better against Dundee. He was duly acknowledged for his noteworthy performance.
