“Something happened” – Player’s family surprised at Rangers strife, belief Philippe Clement has decision in summer

We have been reporting on a number of tales from the Spanish press over the last several weeks, claiming that Ianis Hagi, a Rangers

loanee, is struggling while at Alavés.

Away from Philippe Clement’s team, Hagi’s goal was probably to make an impression on Glasgow or secure a permanent transfer from

Rangers.

The midfielder for Rangers has been having difficulty establishing himself in Spain, and it’s possible that this will affect his status in

the Romanian national team.

For this reason, inquiries into the matter were now made of his father, Gheorghe Hagi. And he defended his kid in statements

published by Orange Sport in Romania.

“Ianis comes after a year when he was injured. Before the new competition year, a few days before the transfer window closed,

something happened at Rangers and he was surprised,” said Hagi.

“He reacted as best he could in a few days, he went to the second best championship in the world. He has played 21 games so far this

competitive year. Keep in mind, after a year and a bit of injury, when a lot of people didn’t believe.”

Gheorghe Hagi went so far as to say that his son’s future is with Rangers, where he will return at the end of the season, ruling out any

chance of him staying at Alavés.

“Ianis has a deal with Rangers; he will be back there in the summer.”

He is now at a certain level. In my opinion, Ianis ranks among Romania’s top three in terms of foreign experience. He has traveled,

played, and participated in European Cup competitions.

The last statement made by Innis Hagi’s father was that his son is far too young for some people to

think his career is now over, as he still has a long time to prove himself. He also remembered the importance that the midfielder once

had at Rangers, with whom he’s lifted trophies, including the Scottish Premiership in the 2020/21 season.

“He has the future ahead of him, he’s 25. When I was 25, I went abroad. He’s already got more things than me. He won best player

outside. He came out the best player, passer, in the whole league. How do you leave them out? All that’s gone? It’s a programmed

manipulation.

“Ianis is a player for big games, he’s proven it 100%, since he was 16, he carries pressure. He’s a champion in the west. Rangers,

watch out! Rangers, not just anyone! With the Rangers, he’s a champion!”
