Alexandro Bernabei is reportedly on the verge of exiting Celtic.
It is believed that the 23-year-old defender has reached an agreement with SC Internacional,
a South American team, which means that, at least temporarily,
he will no longer be playing at Celtic Park.Bernabei, who spent £3.5 million to transfer from Lanus to Celtic 18 months ago,
has had a difficult time settling into a regular first-team spot in Glasgow.
Under Brendan Rodgers’ direction, Greg Taylor has continued to be the go-to option at left back,
limiting Bernabei to just nine games this season—just four of which were starts—due to the Scottish full-back’s injury.
Bernabei was not able to find a new club in the January transfer window.
The most recent information from South America, however, is that a season-long loan arrangement with SC Internacional is almost finalized,
providing Bernabei with a chance to return to his own continent and play more regularly.
This possible transfer coincides with the approaching departure of Liel Abada,
a fellow Celtic player, who is set to finalize his move to MLS team Charlotte FC following the completion of his medical test.
It looks like Abada’s departure will soon be confirmed officially.
These numbers demonstrate just how amazing the Hoops have been so far this season.
Regardless of performance levels, Celtic’s campaign has revolved upon victories.
This has been especially true at Celtic Park,
where the winners have won all 16 of their games at Parkhead so far. They have been incredibly dominant in the league.
They also have two goals remaining in the league this season,
a feat they will be aiming for at Rugby Park the following Saturday.
