Rangers: £2m+ transfer development for Motherwell ace Lennon Miller as Mark Guidi shares reveal
Rangers will have to pay at least £2 million to sign Motherwell striker Lennon Miller during the summer transfer window,
despite interest from the Premier League, according to Mark Guidi.
The 17-year-old midfielder pleased both analysts and fans with his performance for Stuart Kettlewell’s team at Ibrox,
where Motherwell halted Philippe Clement’s unbeaten run on Saturday (2 March).
While Guidi, chief football writer for the Sunday Mail, is not confident Rangers are interested in Miller,
he believes Ibrox officials to be exploring a move for the teenager, along with at least four Premier League clubs.
Speaking on The Go Radio Show (4 March, 49:45), he stated: “I honestly don’t know if Celtic and Rangers are interested in him.
As Barry mentioned, I’d be surprised if they aren’t. He will be worth at least £2 million, and I believe he will leave in the summer.
“Whether Motherwell can get him back on loan is the question. I know he’s interested in at least four English Premier League clubs. He’s attracting the attention of numerous clubs.
Will Rangers and Philippe Clement attempt to sign Motherwell star Lennon Miller?
On Saturday, Miller stood out in the center of the park at Ibrox against the likes of Nicolas Raskin and John Lundstram.
The Belgian has stressed recruiting players from outside of Scotland since his arrival in Glasgow,
but the Gers cannot afford to allow Miller slide through their fingers as they did with other players in the past.
Hopefully, Rangers are preparing a transfer offer as we speak,
as Miller may be the cornerstone of the Light Blues’ midfield for years to come if Clement is willing to pay the £2 million fee.
