Rumoured Celtic and Rangers summer target has options to pick from amid potential availability on free deal
After an uneven first season back at Parkhead, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers will be eager to bolster his team in the summer.
In their 29 Scottish Premiership games, the Bhoys have already conceded eight goals,
which doesn’t suggest that they are playing at their best.
In the lead-up to the January transfer window, Rodgers called for ‘quality’ to be added
to the ranks at Parkhead to help the Bhoys progress under his stewardship.
Nevertheless, only Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah pitched up in Glasgow’s east end in a quiet month of market activity, leading many
supporters to feel disappointed that more players didn’t arrive.
Celtic will be searching for a new goalkeeper in the summer after learning that Joe Hart will be hanging up his gloves.
Beyond that, supporters seem to agree that, come 2024–2025, a team reorganization might be required.
But since Mark Lawwell and Joe Dudgeon are leaving soon, it’s unclear who would be in charge of executing this plan.
Celtic rumoured target Callum O’Hare has options to pick from
Callum O’Hare, a midfielder for Coventry City who is available on a free transfer at the conclusion of the season,
is reportedly being watched by Celtic.
Last Friday, scouts from three unnamed La Liga clubs were present to watch the 25-year-old in action against West Bromwich Albion,
where on-loan Bhoy Mikey Johnston scored in a 2-1 victory for the hosts.
O’Hare’s manager, Mark Robins, has been speculating about his future and thinks he might hold out for a transfer elsewhere.
Rangers are reportedly interested in O’Hare as well.
Robins, as quoted by the Coventry Telegraph, said: “I think everyone has figured out by now that Callum wants
to leave his options open, and that’s his choice.
