Charlton Athletic are set to confirm their fifth summer signing, after reportedly agreeing a deal with Bolton Wanderers for Marcus Leighton, a highly rated 23-year-old midfielder who impressed in League One last season.

According to sources close to the negotiations, Bolton have accepted an undisclosed bid from the Addicks, with Leighton expected to undergo a medical at Sparrows Lane within the next 24–48 hours.
