Breaking News: Las Vegas Raiders trades for top picks in 2024 NFL Draft for this QB.

If the Las Vegas Raiders wish to select one of this year’s best quarterbacks, they are in a bad situation because they presently have the 13th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft order.

But the talk coming out of the NFL Combine indicates that the Raiders are making every effort to alter that.

Before the NFL Draft, general manager Tom Telesco and head coach Antonio Pierce both stated that they wanted to be aggressive. Although Las Vegas isn’t in a good position to take advantage of the very deep quarterback class of 2024, it’s preferable to do it now rather than wait for a 2025 class that doesn’t receive high marks.

Thankfully, there are several of trade-up opportunities available for Las Vegas. Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots (third overall) are willing to drop, even if it means finishing outside of the top 10. Pierce and Telesco are already considering their choices, even though it would cost them a lot.

The Raiders have looked into a number of possibilities for trading up from the 13th overall pick, according to Tashan Reed of The Athletic. Although moving into the top 3 is the aim, Las Vegas has also considered options in the range of 5-7.

Reports about the Raiders’ desire to take a significant step forward are not limited to Reed.

Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler of ESPN noted on Sunday that Las Vegas is one of the clubs to monitor since the Washington Commanders are open to offers for the second overall pick.
Jayden Daniels, the quarterback for the LSU Tigers, is thought to be the Raiders’ top target because of his close friendship with Pierce. During interviews at the NFL Combine, the current Heisman Trophy winner talked about his friendship with Pierce, recalling their time spent together at Arizona State.

Daniels would seem to be Las Vegas’s aim even if they advanced with Washington, which is improbable. However, Michigan Wolverines star J.J. McCarthy could be a possibility if the top three quarterbacks are selected before the Raiders get a chance to play. Aidan O’Connell has a much better chance of starting for Las Vegas in 2024 if the team is unable to sign one of its top-rated quarterbacks.
