Latest Updates: Rangers Pivot player signs a Lucrative deal to Extends stay at Ibrox as Hoops pocket £8 million
Another weekend of Scottish football is in the books. Celtic suffered a 2-0 defeat against Hearts,
while Rangers did no better, losing 2-1 at home to Motherwell. Let’s take a step back: how are the two clubs preparing for the summer?
One of Rangers’ most experienced midfielders is set to sign a new deal at Ibrox Stadium in the ‘coming weeks’. On the green side of Glasgow,
one of Celtic’s players, long rumored to be leaving the club, is now on the’verge’ of doing so.
John Lundstram to sign new Rangers agreement ‘in the coming weeks’
Rangers midfielder John Lundstram will sign a new contract with the Light Blues ‘in the coming weeks’, according to Football Insider.
His present contract is set to expire in the summer of 2024, forcing a new deal for the 30-year-old.
This season in the Scottish Premiership, Lundstram has kept a low profile. He hasn’t scored a league goal in 2023/24 yet, but he has three assists.
Liel Abada ‘on the verge’ of leaving Celtic
Liel Abada has been expected to quit Celtic for several months, following a period of unrest among certain elements of the Bhoys’ fanbase.
According to the Daily Record, the Israeli attacking prospect will join Charlotte FC in the MLS at a cost.
Furthermore, the arrangement might involve an additional £3 million in add-ons for Celtic in the future if the appropriate conditions are completed.
Abada has appeared in only nine of Celtic’s Scottish Premiership games this season, and he has not been included in the matchday squad for the previous four games.
As so, does it appear that the writing is on the wall?
