In light of rumors of interest from Celtic and Rangers, Callum O’Hare has already expressed a desire to transfer.

The former England youth international, who is thriving for Coventry City, is reportedly the focus of interest for two Premiership

opponents. Rangers and Celtic, two La Liga teams, are said to have kept an eye on him during a recent game against West Brom.

Transfermarkt values him at £2.1 million, and as he hasn’t signed a new contract, he will be available on a free move come

summertime. With nine goals and four assists in the English Championship thus far, he will be in great demand. The Coventry

Telegraph was recently informed by Coventry manager Mark Robins that O’Hare is waiting for a Premier League transfer.

“I think everyone will have figured out by now that Calum wants to keep his options open, and that’s his prerogative,” he remarked.

“We have made him an offer of a contract, and it’s a nice one, but he wants to leave his options open to see if any Premier League

teams are interested in signing him—whether that’s if we make it into the Premier League and then we become a possibility,

or if it happens anyway.

“I think all options are on the table and he just wants to keep them open, and that’s his prerogative.”

Robins also told Coventry Live in January: “Look, everyone knows that Callum is out of contract and there’s a lot of speculation

around it, and that will continue until he makes his decision public.

But the truth of it is he’s been offered a contract, and a really good contract at that.

“In the end, that’s all that matters to me; he is free to decide what’s best for his future. It’s totally up to him if he chooses to go on. He

is aware of our intentions to keep him around.

But in the end, he needs to make a choice. He is only now beginning to make his way back after being absent for nearly a year. When

his contract expires in the summer, he will be free to pursue other interests. When he’s good and ready, his agent, who will have his

own ideas, will make that decision. Who knows, maybe he’s made it already?
