UNBELIEVABLE: some of Rangers players will be ruled out in today match
Rangers take on Motherwell this afternoon at Ibrox as they resume their title defense.
On Wednesday night, manager Philippe Clement overcame one of the most difficult matches he could have arranged, as his team
all competitions, and they are now leading the Premiership by three points.
The Belgian boss has suffered a setback however, with the news that loanee Oscar Cortes will be out for action for a couple of weeks
with a muscle injury picked up in the win over Killie. The winger has hit the ground running since his January arrival with some
impressive displays in his first seven appearances, scoring in the 5-0 hammering of Hearts next week. Speaking on the extent of the
Colombian international’s problem, Clement said: “It is a muscle injury, but I cannot say much more for the moment.
“I don’t want to go into that to speak about a half empty glass. I am focused now on the players who are available for this game,
because otherwise I would’ve lost a lot of energy in the last couple of months and that is useless. It is a pity for him and for the team,
but it is an opportunity for another player to show what they can do.”
