Eagles Defender Is Purportedly of Interest To The Cowboys.
The Dallas Cowboys were among the league’s most formidable squads heading into the 2023 NFL season, with one of the strongest defenses under the direction of star linebacker Micah Parsons.
The defense helped this club win 12 games and secure the NFC East division title, but in the NFL playoffs, they crumbled against the young Green Bay Packers, headed by quarterback Jordan Love, in the first round.
The fact that the Cowboys let the Packers to score 48 points was a clear indication that some changes might need to be done during the NFL summer to restore this defense to its former dominance before the 2024 season.
Dallas is interested in acquiring pass rusher Haason Reddick from the division foe Philadelphia Eagles, according to Cowboys insider Mike Fisher on JPAFootball.
The Eagles would be dealing with a direct rival in the NFC East division, so even if the Cowboys are interested in signing Reddick, a deal appears unlikely.
Before agreeing to a deal with the Cowboys, Eagles management would almost definitely consider other options because adding him would further strengthen their already excellent defense for the 2024 season.
With Dallas’ championship window arguably open right now and possibly for the next few years if Jerry Jones and company can keep adding parts to the jigsaw, it will be intriguing to see what the Cowboys do over the NFL offseason to get back on track as one of the best teams in the NFC.
