Confirmed Deal : Bayern Munich and Rangers finalise on Malik Tillman’s transfer deal
Rangers and Bayern Munich reach an agreement on Malik Tillman’s £12 million transfer deal.
Tillman is anticipated to sign a permanent £12 million contract with PSV from Bayern Munich this summer,
according to The Rangers Review, which was published on February 21.
In words obtained by the Daily Record [21 February], the former Gers loanee admitted to considering a permanent swap,
which would net the Bears a 10% profit from any fee.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, Ferguson stressed that the squad received the best possible outcome for Tilman,
whom he describes as “talented.”
To be honest, it was a good deal, so any money coming in is great news.
“He’s a good player, that’s for sure, and that’s why a lot of Rangers fans wanted him at the club; he’s a talented boy,
and I used to try to remind a few of the fans that he’s a young boy who is still learning the game; we tend to forget that.”
We might be harsh at times up here, but he’s only 20/21 years old, so he has a lot of room to grow.
It’s a fantastic move for the lad; a little bit of money in, happy days.”
What share of the Malik Tillman transfer deal will benefit the Rangers?
Tillman’s potential move to Ibrox was delayed by an agreement between Rangers and Bayern Munich; as a result,
the club will earn 10% of any future transfer fees. If his move to PSV goes through as planned, that money will be coming soon.
Ferguson is correct in praising the former Rangers star; he was a great player,
and many fans were disappointed when he did not return after his loan term. Still, given the circumstances,
the club has done as best as it could.
It won’t hurt to bring in an extra £1.2 million, which might be used to boost any potential summer transfer budget or to balance the books at Ibrox.
