Rodgers discloses a fresh injury blow.
Regarding tonight’s game against Dundee, Brendan Rodgers will have to make another defensive substitution.
Cameron Carter-Vickers took over for the former Legia Warsaw player after he had to leave the game against Motherwell on Sunday after an hour of play. The former Spurs player has been sidelined by injuries this season, but he is expected to start tonight against Dundee as the race for the SPFL title reaches a close.
How does the team’s injury situation stand? It’s been suggested that Maik Nawrocki has an injury. Is that accurate?
Indeed. He felt his hamstring during the game and developed a niggle, so it will probably put him out for a short while.
Will Cameron Carter-Vickers require managing or is he ready to return right away?
Carter-Vickers will require supervision, but he is prepared to begin if necessary. When he enters the game on the weekends, you can tell the difference. He’s a great operator; we simply need to be considerate of his time and minutes.
Thankfully, Liam Scales has not suffered an injury and has participated in every game since joining the team against St Johnstone at home at the end of August.
With Hearts visiting Tynecastle on Sunday, Rodgers will be hoping that Carter-Vickers and Welsh survive tonight’s game unscathed.
