Nottingham forest offer bumper £30m to sign Rangers key player this summer.
Jack Butland appears happy at Rangers but a fee in the region of £15-£20million may lead to a summer sale as “money talks”, according to Derek Ferguson.
Since joining Ibrox on a free transfer last summer,
the goalie has been in incredible form, starting 27 league games with 17 clean sheets,
or 63% of the total (transfermarkt).
Butland, 30, has made such an impression in Glasgow that there has been speculation that Gareth
Southgate may give him a call-up to the England national team so he can face top scorer Jordan Pickford at Euro 2024 this summer.
Ferguson, a former player for Rangers,
believes that’s entirely reasonable and hopes that Butland’s connection to the Ibrox crowd would force him to turn down any summer approaches.
Nottingham Forest was linked to a move late in the previous transfer window (STV, 31 January).
“First of all, it’s not a shock if he was recalled to that England squad because he’s been absolutely magnificent since he came up here,
on and off the park,” Ferguson remarked in an exclusive interview with Ibrox News.
In keeping with the manager’s remarks, he is a true player impact and asset in that dressing room.

He is very grounded, gets right to the point, and is devoid of all pretense.
He is popular in the club because of his appearance.
It would require quite a few bob to entice him to go.
I’m not sure of his situation, although he’s undoubtedly made a few bucks from his time at upscale clubs.
Money talks sometimes, but he seemed content in his current situation.
I believe it would take between £15 and £20 million for Rangers to let him go.
“I believe that’s what the Rangers would need to consider before considering Butland’s release.
He has been a major asset and driving force behind the Rangers’ success this year.
