Rangers revamped transfer strategies destroys their chances of signing new celtic target
As the 2023–24 Scottish Premiership season draws to a close, Celtic and Rangers are both hoping to gain momentum. With whom are the two clubs associated today?
In addition, Rangers are aiming to alter their transfer policy. A striker who has lately been linked to the Bhoys has stated that he will not be joining Celtic anytime soon.
Sydney Van Hooijdonk, a forward for Bologna, has broken any dreams that Celtic would sign him anytime soon. Although he acknowledged that negotiations took place last summer, he believes that he is now playing at a “higher level” than he would in the Scottish Premiership.
Van Hooijdonk said, “To be honest, I didn’t speak with Celtic this winter,” in an interview with The Pink Un. You see a lot of things, but I didn’t talk to them this winter. Yes, there was a little throughout the summer.
“They are a great club, and I love them too, but it was great to have the championship and to have a squad in the playoffs. I’m thrilled to be here because this league is a better level than that league. I see us play right now, and it’s really good. We score a lot of goals and win games with ease.”
Rangers focus on younger players by adjusting their transfer strategy.
During the most recent January transfer window, this new tactic was already in use. The winter transfer window saw the signing of players like Mohamed Diomande and Fabio Silva; in contrast, the summer saw the Gers sign elderly stars like Jack Butland and Leon Balogun.
