OFFICIAL: Newcastle ‘agree’ loan ‘offer’ with ‘mandatory’ £67m buy clause for Man City star in ‘advanced’ deal
According to sources, Newcastle United is trying to sign England international Jack Grealish a
winger for Man City, by arranging a loan-to-buy agreement. On the last day of the 2024–25 season,
the Magpies enhanced their summer transfer window aspirations by earning a spot in the Champions League.
In addition to providing Newcastle with a significant financial boost, qualifying for the Champions League increases the likelihood that some of the world’s top players will decide to make St. James’
Park their next stop. Grealish, an England international who is expected to depart Manchester City
this summer, is one player who might end up moving to Tyneside. Pep Guardiola and the Man City
board “still love Grealish,” according to a report published in BBC Sport last week. However, “there
is now a consensus that this is the right time to move on, particularly given Guardiola has said he
wants a smaller squad next term.”
