Fulham finally beats West Ham and Bournemouth in the race to seal €22m deal for Viktor Tsygankov
West Ham United, Fulham and AFC Bournemouth are all in the picture to sign Girona’s Viktor Tsygankov this summer.
That’s according to AS, and they state Premier League clubs are targeting the 27-year-old as he’s on the radar of West Ham, Fulham and Bournemouth.
The forward struggled with two different injuries this season, limiting him to two goals and five assists from 27 league games.
Manchester United and Aston Villa looked at him last summer and West Ham, Fulham and Bournemouth are his contenders for this summer.
AS say the Ukraine international’s quality, pace and playing style make him the ‘perfect fit for the Premier League’. The two London clubs and the Cherries have been monitoring him for a while and are keen to pursue this track.
The interest around him is again a concern for Girona sporting director Quique Cárcel. The report states the Spanish club won’t entertain any bids below €22m even though he has a €30m release clause.
Tsygankov is currently with the national team and has instructed his agent not to discuss any potential transfers until he’s back from vacation. He’s happy at Girona, but his release clause would be affordable for the likes of West Ham, Fulham and Bournemouth.
Girona were successful in retaining him last summer and have to work hard if they want to keep Tsygankov in the squad for next season.
