Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, called De Zerbi “one of the most influential managers in the last 20 years” after he demonstrated his abilities in the Premier League with Brighton. The Italian is unquestionably a top-tier manager, and Tottenham would have benefited greatly from having him on board. But he doesn’t currently want to leave the French club. Whether Tottenham can make the correct acquisition during the summer transfer window will be interesting to watch. This summer, they need to make the appropriate managerial appointment. They will be hoping for a great recovery after a dismal Premier League season the previous year.
