BREAKING NEWS: Texas rangers player is about to be signed the next mega-extension.
Both Marcus Semien and Corey Seager have already signed long-term contracts to remain with the Texas Rangers. Who else could
soon spend their finest days in Arlington closing enormous contracts? The best prospects for long-term extensions over the 2024
season were just revealed by MLB.com. Rangers third baseman Josh Jung and rookie outfielder Evan Carter were two of the eighteen
players listed. While the Rangers have Corey Seager, Marcus Semien,
and Jacob deGrom locked up at large salaries until at least 2028,
Carter and Jung were crucial to Texas’ World Series run last fall. Extending either or both of their young hitters through their

call Arlington home to their best days spent negotiating massive deals? MLB.com just released a list of the top prospects for long-term
deals through the 2024 campaign. Among the eighteen players listed were rookie outfielder Evan Carter and Rangers third baseman
Josh Jung. Although Corey Seager, Marcus Semien, and Jacob deGrom are signed to big contracts with the Rangers through at least
2028, Carter and Jung were essential to Texas’s World Series victory last October. The team would have some cost predictability going
forward if they could keep one or both of their young batters through their arbitration years and possibly beyond. – MLB.com Jung
looked like a third in the top ten.
In what long-term context does Carter fit in? He’ll start the season on left, but if fellow rookie Wyatt Langford shows his defensive
worth in spring training, his speed and tracking ability may force him to switch to center.
