Breaking: Four Lads criticize Rangers following another dispute vs Kilmarnock.

The Scottish Premiership officials have come under fire from Four Lads Had a Dream when Rangers was not awarded a penalty against Kilmarnock on Wednesday, February 28.

The decision by referee David Dickinson to not give the Gers a penalty,

following Lewis Mayo’s controversial first-half punishment of John Lundstram, infuriated the Killie supporters.

Kilmarnock took the lead early on when Danny Armstrong hammered the penalty past Jack Butland.

The atmosphere among the supporters may have been very different had it not been for James Tavernier and Tom Lawrence.

Four Lads responded to the rulings on Thursday, February 29, via X, writing:

“For those keeping track, Rangers did not receive two on-field penalties against St Johnstone,

and the on-field referee also disregarded another blatant shout at Kilmarnock.

“VAR gave St Johnstone the correction, but rejected Killie when it was obvious.

There was never a penalty against us last night either.

Not to mention respectful yells directed at Silva and Ayr on Cortes vs Ross County

That’s five significant calls that referees have either failed to make or have “missed” in recent weeks.

There is little doubt that the small “penalty to Rangers” campaign had an impact.

Should the Scottish Premiership give Rangers more penalties?

In football, as in any league, every team should receive the same treatment.

Rangers shouldn’t be penalized if they draw more fouls and enter the opposition box more frequently than other teams and result in more penalties.

It should go without saying. However, supporters of one Old Firm rival have long expressed concern that the Gers are getting preferential treatment over all other teams in the Scottish Premiership.

These choices—or lack thereof—show that the contrary is true.

Referees should be able to make the right call every time with the help of VAR;

human error is still a possibility, but it ought to be much reduced in sports.

But because of Philippe Clement’s newfound mindset,

Rangers have lost out on a number of opportunities that could have been crucial in the title match up with Celtic.

Despite losing positions, there is still hope that Clement’s team may pull off a comeback,

as they did against Kilmarnock, and win all three points without the assistance of the referees.

Even after finishing the 2-1 comeback triumph over Kilmarnock, the Belgian expressed tremendous cynicism towards the decisions and questioned the referee.
