Leeds United next transfers decided with £120m Daniel Farke plan
Leeds United are expected to back manager Daniel Farke in the
current transfer window as they aim to solidify their place in the Premier League at the end of next season.
A 100-point haul saw Leeds earn automatic promotion
back to the top division, while also crowned Championship
champions thanks to Manor Solomon’s injury time winner against Plymouth Argyle on the final day.
The celebrations have now been and gone with eyes now firmly fixed on
the preparations for the new season. A lot of the work will be done in the transfer window.
The Club World Cup means that clubs have a 10-day period to add to their squad before the window closes again later this month. It will then re-open on June 16, and will stay open until September 1.
Sky Sports have given the latest update on where they believe
the Whites will be looking to strengthen in the coming weeks,
ahead of the opening weekend on August 16.
Leeds are said to be targeting four specific areas, a goalkeeper,
a centre-back, a central midfielder and a striker,
which will not come as a surprise to anyone. Everton striker Beto
and Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher are mentioned
as potential targets, although it seems that the latter is
closing in on an £18 million move to Brentford and the Beto
deal feels, at this stage at least, like one that is unlikely to happen.
