Real Madrid Agree Deal with Sunderland for Jobe Bellingham in Club’s Record Sale as Dortmund Pull Out
June 3, 2025 — Real Madrid have agreed a deal to sign Jobe Bellingham from Sunderland in what becomes the biggest sale in the club’s history.
The 19-year-old joins his brother Jude at the Santiago Bernabéu in a transfer worth €55 million, rising to €70 million with bonuses.
Borussia Dortmund, once favourites to land the midfielder, pulled out of the race last week, unable to match Madrid’s financial package.
Madrid have already seen a record-breaking 600,000 shirts sold with Jobe’s name within 48 hours of the announcement.
Jobe said: “Joining Madrid is a dream. I’m ready to create my own path here.”
