Wolves to table £8.3m bid for Flamengo midfielder Evertton Araujo
According to Brazilian publication Bolavip Brasil, Wolves will “formalise” a bid of €10 million (£8.3 million) for Evertton Araujo, a 22-year-old midfielder.
During his tenure as Flamengo’s manager, Pereira collaborated with Araujo and developed a deep admiration for the Brazilian.
The Portuguese have therefore given Fosun instructions to sign Araujo before the upcoming season.
Due to Eintracht Frankfurt’s interest, they had to move swiftly. According to Bolavip Brasil, the Bundesliga team has “intensified” its interest and dispatched club representatives to get in touch with Flamengo.
Sevilla, Getafe, and Villarreal are also keeping an eye on the young player, amid interest from Spanish teams.
Evertton Araujo can join Andre Gomes and Andre as another success story from Brazil
Araujo has options about his future because of the variety of clubs interested in signing him.
Naturally, the fact that he has already collaborated with Pereira could work in the Old Gold’s benefit.
In addition, Araujo might find solace in the fact that Joao Gomes and Andre Gomes have recently moved from the Brazilian Serie A to Molineux.
