Norwich City: Wilshere’s targets big Cardiff City finish

Jack Wilshere admitted Norwich City’s long-suffering fans deserve a positive Championship send-off against Cardiff City.

The interim head coach has one final chance to push his own claims to replace Johannes Hoff Thorup on a permanent basis this weekend after a 0-0 draw at Middlesbrough.

City’s fan base have had to endure a desperate end to the campaign, but Wilshere made it clear after his Riverside bow he feels ready to pick up the pieces.

“In football, you have to get up and you have to go again, and we have to lift the players and try and put in performances, and that’s what we’re trying to do. And hopefully we can give the fans something to be proud of,” he said.
