Birmingham striker Lukas Jutkiewicz has admitted Jay Stansfield has had the weight of the world on his shoulders this season, but is optimistic the record signing can escape such pressure next campaign.

Jutkiewicz played his last-ever home game for Blues on Sunday as Chris Davies’ side thrashed Mansfield Town 4-0 to demolish Wolverhampton Wanderers’ League One points record. ‘The Juke’ still has two matches to go – both away from home – but his playing days are now very close to being over.

Set to hang up his boots to take on a new role at Birmingham, Jutkiewicz is set to continue working closely with fellow striker Stansfield. The Juke has played a pivotal role in Stansfield’s progression this season and has witnessed the highs and the lows he has experienced since joining from Fulham.
