Captain Adams puts Derby ahead As John Eustace Shakes Up Derby County Ahead of Crunch West Brom Clash!
John Eustace made one change to his Derby County starting XI as the Rams went in search of a win at playoff-chasing West Brom this afternoon.
Liam Thompson is recalled to the team in place of Nathaniel Mendez-Laing who makes the bench in what is the only alteration to the team which lost to Luton Town on Good Friday.
It was feared Mendez-Laing would be sidelined for today’s trip to the Hawthorns after he was taken to hospital on Friday with what was feared to be a fractured eye socket.
But after undergoing further inspection, the winger is fine to be involved and takes his place among the subs with Derby hoping to secure a result that keeps them out of the Championship bottom three.
In what will be a 3-5-2 formation, Josh Vickers is in goal and continues in place of Jacob Widell Zetterstrom who is out for the campaign with a fractured eye socket.
The centre-backs will be Sondre Langas, Matt Clarke and Nat Phillips with Kane Wilson and Craig Forsyth continuing in the wing-back positions. Callum Elder still remains on the sidelines.
