Joel Piroe was on a one-man mission to get Leeds United promoted as he grabbed a stunning first-half four-goal haul against Stoke City.

Piroe bagged a 14-minute hat trick at Elland Road as Leeds knew a win would move them even closer to promotion before kick-off.

Daniel Farke’s men were in devastating form and had the game wrapped up before the clock had even reached 30 minutes as Junior Firpo added a fourth.

It was a day for celebration in Yorkshire and a historic one for Piroe as he then made it 5-0 and bagged his fourth.

Every record broken by Joel Piroe in the first half against Stoke

After a brief goalscoring drought, there is nothing quite like breaking your duck like scoring four goals.

Former Swansea City man Piroe looked deadly in front of goal and fans of Leeds have had to wait a long time to see a player take the match ball home.

In fact, the 25-year-old is the first Leeds player to score three goals in a game since Jack Harrison in 2022, as well as becoming the first player to score four goals in a game since Ross McCormack against Charlton in 2013

The most impressive of all, however, is that Piroe’s 16-minute hat trick is the quickest in Leeds history.

Those strikes took his total to 19 and counting for the season in an epic display of leading the line for your side in a promotion race.

Joel Piroe loves scoring against Stoke City

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that the Dutch striker bagged against Stoke.

After scoring two against the Potters in the reverse fixture, the forward’s trio means he now has six goals against the Staffordshire club.

Thankfully for them, Leeds look set to get promoted and therefore those sleepless nights Stoke are having about Piroe can be put to bed.
