Five Rangers players are out of contract this summer, but only one should get a new deal.

Of course, it’s nothing new. Clement destroyed Ross Wilson’s Rangers contract model,

stating that if the team wants to take squad building seriously, things must be done differently.

However, now that the former Club Brugge manager has been formally fired as Rangers manager,

the Gers will have to replace a number of high-profile players.

The five Rangers first-team players who are currently scheduled to depart this summer are listed here,

along with our opinion on whether or not they ought to receive new contracts.

The new Rangers sporting director will undoubtedly have a hectic schedule.

There were great expectations that Adam Devine, a red-haired right-back, would follow in

Nathan Patterson’s footsteps in Glasgow after making his debut at Rangers.

Devine appeared to be the next in line of full-back talent after Patterson smashed the Rangers

transfer record when he joined Everton in January 2022. However, things haven’t gone that way.

For a while during Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s tenure, Devine filled in at left-back,

but he hasn’t been able to return to the Rangers squad since.

Now that he is on loan at Queen’s Park, the 21-year-old needs to go out and make

himself a regular member of the first squad someplace.
