The worst season in Tottenham Hotspur’s history is about to begin. Questions are being raised, performances have been lackluster, and results have been appalling. A dismissal appears certain given Spurs’ dismal 14th-place finish, but will they fire Ange Postecoglou?

Ange Postecoglou has ridden his luck for the majority of the season. Spurs have only won 10 of their 29 games, losing more than they have won (15 losses). That is just not acceptable for a club this size. Cup results haven’t improved all that much. Spurs were eliminated in the fourth round of the FA Cup and eliminated in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.

 

Given the absence of the majority of the traditional “big six,” a semi-final run appeared likely if Tottenham Hotspur advanced past the FA Cup’s fourth round.
