Rudi Garcia, the new Red Devils manager, has named the midfield player in his initial team for
this week’s Nations League A relegation play-off doubleheader against Ukraine. In an interview
with L’avenir.net, Raskin, 24, explained that his son only learned that he would be leaving to
play with superstars like Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku when the squad was formally
announced on Friday: “When he in the youth team, you receive a text message to be notified
to check your emails; it’s a sign that you’ve received a call-up. That’s what happened on Friday.
” Raskin had previously represented his country at every level from U15 to U21 level, participating in the
U21 UEFA European Championships back in 2023.
“Nicolas received a text message at the same time as the press conference began; the timing was perfect.”
Since moving from Standard Liege to Ibrox in January 2023, Raskin Snr. thinks his kid has advanced significantly.
After being signed by Michael Beale, the all-action midfielder first suffered from injuries,
but he has since established himself as a vital member of the squad under temporary
