Aston Villa has hit gold on “monster” who is a £59 million-rated ace in the making.
They also moved quickly to sign Marcus Rashford, Axel Disasi, and Marco Asensio on loan from Manchester United,
Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain, respectively.
How Aston Villa’s January additions have performed
Malen, who was left off the club’s Champions League roster list, has yet to score or assist in seven appearances
in all competitions for Villa, starting only one of his six league games.
Unai Emery and Monchi, Aston Villa’s managers, made attempts to strengthen the squad in the recent
January transfer window ahead of the second half of the season.
The Villans signed Donyell Malen and Andres Garcia on permanent contracts from Borussia Dortmund and Levante,
respectively, to improve their options up forward and at full back.
Disasi, on the other hand, has started all four of his Premier League appearances since joining from Chelsea on loan,
while Garcia has started four of his five. Aston Villa have already hit the jackpot with the loan hero,
as the Spain international has seven goals in eight games for the club thus far, including three in two
Champions League games against Club Brugge.
The 29-year-old wizard’s performances for Villa and PSG over the last year have drawn comparisons to
Manchester City’s £59 million signing, Omar Marmoush.
